Don Aguillo (cover artist, Sam & Twitch, King Spawn), Marcus Newsome (Marvel sketch card artist, Lightning Strike), and Don Nguyen (Marvel/DC/Star Wars sketch card artist, Pablo the Gorilla) lead a life-drawing session featuring cosplayers Jeanie Herger, LIT Legend, Daniel Prime, and Hera Thea. Drawing supplies are provided, and attendees may bring preferred tools (digital or analog). All skill levels are welcome.

Industry professionals John Muniz (Netflix, creative production manager), Karl Altstaetter (comic book artist, director, and former PhatMojo creative leader), Dennis Canon (packaging director, PhatMojo; formerly Moose Toys), and Cesar Mora (product development, Mattel) provide an inside look at careers in the toy and consumer products industries. Panelists discuss skills employers seek, educational paths, how products move from concept to shelf, and what it is like to work at companies such as Mattel, Hasbro, Spin Master, Netflix, and others. Artists, designers, marketers, engineers, and fans of toys and collectibles can learn about creating products for fans and families.

How to Make a Minicomic out of One Sheet of Paper

Zander Cannon (Heck, Top 10, KAIJUMAX, Sleep) walks through the process of making a simple, photocopyable four-page minicomic, covering everything from tools to storytelling, from shading to crosshatching, from lettering to logos, and from character design to word balloons. Attendees may bring their own materials and draw along or contribute plot, dialogue, and character suggestions. A Q&A follows, along with a giveaway minicomic featuring instructions on how to photocopy, cut, and fold the finished work.
