From 1998's Star Trek: The Experience to Meow Wolf's Omega Mart and Interstellar Arc today, Las Vegas has repeatedly served as a proving ground for groundbreaking immersive entertainment. Creators now find themselves fusing narrative design with architecture, immersive media, and spatial computing in order to build worlds that contain systems with rules, complex interfaces, and consequences. This session brings together Bonnie Weber (president, AREA15), Vince Kadlubek (co-founder, Meow Wolf), Félix Lajeunesse and Paul Raphaël (co-founders, Felix & Paul Studios, creators of Interstellar Arc), and moderator Steve Broback (co-founder, Dent the Future) to examine how compelling environments are conceived, produced, and sustained.
