This interactive workshop helps attendees create their own fairytale retellings. Brandie June (author of the Rumpelstiltskin retelling Gold Spun and Magic at the Grand Dragonfly Theatre) discusses how developing characters makes for a more interesting and complex story. Attendees will be provided with several writing prompts to encourage creative thinking as they develop their own fairytale retellings with unique characters and settings. Participants are often surprised at their own hidden creativity and leave the workshop with the beginning of their own retelling and prompts to develop characters in their writing.
