For kids: Participants make a board or card game in less than an hour. For parents: Creating an analog game is fun and educational, teaching game systems, the iterative process, teamwork, time and resource management, research, critical analysis, and even science, history, math, and language development. This workshop guides attendees through rapid prototyping, with the basics of a new board or card game as a takeaway. Facilitated by Aaron Vanek, an elementary and middle-school instructor who has taught analog game design to middle-school students for more than ten years.
