As far as independent comics series go, Love & Rockets and Hate are about as iconic as they get. Gilbert Hernandez and Jaime Hernandez (Love & Rockets) have been chronicling the exploits of the residents of Palomar and Hoppers since 1982, while Peter Bagge (Hate) has created an enduring chronicle of Seattle's 1990s grunge milieu.
