They're baaaack. MeTV's Svengoolie (Rich Koz) and The Sven Squad: Nostalgiaferatoo (Bill Leff), Gwengoolie (Sarah Palmer), and IMP (Scott Gryder) return for their second straight appearance at Comic-Con, but this time they'll be camera-ready in full character costume and makeup. Along with executive producer Jim Roche, the panelists discuss the past, present, and future of horror hosting, and Svengoolie himself will reveal special announcements regarding this October's BOO-Nanza programming. As the last nationally broadcast horror host on the air, Svengoolie represents a unique legacy in television history, blending classic monster movies with comedy and fan engagement to keep this beloved tradition alive since the 1970s and on MeTV since 2011. Two-time Emmy Award–winning producer/writer/comedian Dana Gould (Hanging with Dr. Z, The Simpsons) moderates. Attendees will receive a Comic-Con exclusive Svengoolie and The Sven Squad collectible magnet.
