This panel explores how comics have inspired missions to the moon, including the recent Artemis II mission last spring. Ben Dickow of L.A.'s Columbia Memorial Space Center, a propulsion engineer from the NASA Artemis mission, and Jerry Blackburn, a retired engineer who worked on the Apollo moon missions, discuss current and past missions and how sci-fi and comic books inspired their real-life journeys to space. They are joined by Ray Hedgpeth and members of L.A.'s Captured Aural Phantasy Theater, who dramatically read excerpts from the comics being discussed.
