Quiet Hina is an indoor-oriented girl who has a penchant for all types of crafts, but everything changes after she moves back to her old hometown that’s near the sea to continue with her high school education. While walking along an embankment she meets upperclassman Kuroiwa who eventually persuades her to join the mysterious "Embankment Club," which Hina soon discovers is the local fishing club. Although Hina dislikes sea creatures, as she continues to fish with her fellow club members, and eats their catches, gradually starts to appreciate her new friends and the appeal of the ocean.
