The egotistic and arrogant Nanbara resents the brilliant but absent-minded engineering student Kazuya who’s trying to develop an AI robot, so creates a computer virus to infect Kazuya’s computer to destroy his research work. While trying to fix his computer Kazuya accidentally orders from Cyberdyne Corporation’s website a cyberdoll, and receives May, a 1-foot-tall robotic doll who’s sensitive and sympathetic to Kazuya's feelings, likes, and needs. Nanbara enlists some cyberdolls to take May back but it fails as they befriend Kazuya.
